Southeastern University at Catalyst Christian Learning Center
Southeastern University at Catalyst Christian Learning Center
Catalyst U is a 2 to 4 year Christian leadership program based in Cleveland, Georgia that provides students the opportunity to learn and work alongside non-profit and ministry professionals while earning a degree from Southeastern University.
Every day students will gather to learn about and apply biblical truths through devotions, leadership training, and group discussion.
Students will receive academic credit through attending Southeastern University online.
Each student will be placed in a local church or non-profit organization to serve and gain insight on how local churches and businesses operate and minister to their community.
This hands-on experience counts as credit towards their degree.
Every Catalyst U student will have one on one training and discipleship. Ministry mentors will come alongside each student to help them pursue the area of ministry they are passionate about.
The first year of Catalyst U students will begin building their foundation of leadership by observing and learning. In addition to daily spiritual development and community time, students will:
The goal: that each ministry student would identify the specific area of ministry or non-profit work to which they feel called.
The second year, students will be more hands-on in their approach to ministry and leadership. Once the student has decided which area of ministry within a church or with a non-profit organization that they feel called they will:
The goal: that each ministry student would begin to experience what it is like to live out their calling in the day to day.
The third year, students will begin to practice leadership in their approach to ministry both through their practicum (in a church or non-profit) and by becoming student leaders within Catalyst U. In addition to daily spiritual development and community time, students will:
The goal: that students would begin to hone their leadership and ministry gifts in practice and amongst their peers.
The fourth year, the Catalyst U site director will work closely with senior students to develop their leadership skills while identifying partnering ministries to network with the student. In addition to daily spiritual development and community time, students will:
The goal: that every student would be able to independently lead a ministry with minimal supervision by their mentor and would be set up to find employment within their area of ministry.
